Brilliant week again, the ingrediants for the slime finally turned up so we made the real green slime this week and the kids loved it. Science had them all making bleeding paper with our resident scientist Sam she is the one with the black smile lol. While making gory eyeballs out of icing was popular nothing was better than apple bobbing and musical witches and wizards. All the children went home happy with their own bags of sweets and treats some made some won and some given.

Absolutely fabulous day today, 3 new laptops with dongles and knex for the cupboard we finally got the teenagers fully engaged all day wooho. The youngsters enjoyed themselves as well with their own kidnex set and lots of singing with Sophie. Our welsh lessons finally emerged thanks to Rachael and she has promised to send the new phrases to the email list.

A great day after being away for a few weeks four new families joined us so there was lots of information sharing going on. Braces bread came and brought us lots of free bread as well as making bread with the children. Giant jenga was a big hit as usual and everyone is looking forward to making some things for mothers day over the next few weeks.
Hi everyone a very busy week this week in spite of the fact numbers were low. 2 new families came to us including the esteemed chief exec from wise up in port talbot. We also had a visit from our local community police officers who have promised to return and challenge the teens to a pool game. 2 weeks away now with a visit to the museum on the 3rd of March at 11 am. home I will see you all there when we take a look at the Budha.
Ok girls we know its christmas Jas are you sure one contact works this still looks blurry to me lol. Fab day today when half of our nativity cast was stricken with vomitting and other nasty things lots of peeps stood up and filled the gaps. They did a fab job even those who visited us for the first time and needed to read from their scripts. Many thanks to all those who helped clean up as well as those who organised. For those kept home sick we all hope you are better soon and maybe we can do it all again in January so you can take your parts.
Drama pictures are here
Costumes were out this week for dress rehearsals and arts and crafts foccussed on making missing bits for the play. Jas stepped in and ran a sticking and cutting group for the little ones in spite of not being able to see past the end of her nose. Birthdays were celebrated with a hedgehog cake and everyone enjoyed dressing up.
Another busy week although many couldnt get out because of snow and ice. Our nativity team rehearsed and then rehearsed again and Careena a picture of effiency organised us all in to costume makers and narrators. Lots of gifts were made and little fingers took great pleasure in cutting and sticking and cutting and sticking and cutting and cutting lol. Two of our lads got to work early and made potatoe and leek soup and beef stew which was sold for lumch and voted absolutely delicouse. Well done boys you can cook anytime for us and thanks to Ceri for doing the washing up while the boys cooked ha ha. Down below is picture of some great acting in practice well done that lad.
Wow another busy week today and some amazing art work. A big thankyou to Susi for running a craft session for the kids making christmas tree decorations as you can see in the pics this was a very very popular activity that went on pretty much all day. Careena deserves thanks for organising our Christmas play and getting the kids all sorted with their words and parts in spite of some difficult decisions on the casting couch. Massive thanks to Jas for helping the kids decoratr all the items they brought in even with her contact lenses on the missing list. Big congratulations to our star artist who decorated the bag shown here you know who you are and we all know you have a very bright future to come. Well done everyone who came along and enjoyed themselves today we couldnt do it without you.
A busy week this week from first thing until home time. We welcomed a new family and 5 new children and it was great to have everyone together. In the morning the children made christmas cards and paper chains some decided to do their own art work and some brilliant pieces were produced. In the afternoon work continued from last week on the lanterns that the children are building. Hopefully they will be able to finish the lantern next week and launch it weather permitting.
A quiet week allowed for a meeting to plan further events and the kids enjoyed having their ideas listened to. Unfortunately I forgot the camera so their were no pics this week sorry everyone.
This week was the most successful ever, there were fab costumes all round and halloween games were played with gusto. Pin the wart on the witch and apple bobbing were enjoyed and Will kindly scared the kids with the tale of the hairy toe. The highligh of the day was the blindfolded touch and feel game to see who could identify the brains and intestines of some poor dead creature run by Jenny and Jasmine. Members pulled out all the stops to turn up and brought family and friends for half term making it a great day for all concerned. See this weeks pics above
